Short clips on demand

Use case

A short visual is sometimes the whole asset. You describe the clip, or you start from a still, and a short video comes back in Telegram. The local download does not linger on the laptop.

What to connect

A Gemini API key with Veo video generation enabled, and Telegram for delivery.

Setup

  1. Set VIDEO_MODEL to the Veo AI model id your key can call. Run one short text prompt and confirm a video file returns.
  2. Use the same output folder as image-gen, outside the repo.
  3. Save the prompt as video-gen.
  4. Confirm the Telegram message contains the video file, and the local file is gone after a successful send.

Edit before you send: The Veo model id, clip length, and the output folder.

Save this as a skill named video-gen. Use Veo via [VIDEO MODEL]. I can ask you to generate a short clip from a text prompt, or from a text prompt plus an image I attach. Keep clips at [8] seconds unless I ask for another length the model supports. Save the file under [OUTPUT DIR] with a UTC timestamp in the name. Send the video file in Telegram. After the send succeeds, delete the local file. If the send fails, keep the file and tell me the path. Use this for short social clips and visual assets I ask for. Do not start a render I did not ask for. If the API rejects the prompt, tell me the reason in one line.
